Weed Spraying Update

Our contractor will be spraying this coming Tuesday and Wednesday, June 10 and June 11, on both Whitewater and Rice Lakes as approved by the DNR. Notices to lakefront homeowners will be posted on Whitewater Lake over the weekend and on Rice Lake on Monday. While we anticipated not needing to spray this summer, the growth of Curly Leaf Pondweed on both lakes is greater than our surveyor has seen in recent years, as he noted after his May 28 lakes survey. We will also be treating Eurasian Milfoil on Rice Lake and in Isabella Bay and the south end of Whitewater Lake. Spraying maps for both lakes are available on this website under Documents --> Operations --> Permits.
